Maranta Power is a Puerto Rican brand of professional products designed specifically for curly hair. Founded by Laura Om , a stylist with over 20 years of experience.

Born from a real need: the lack of effective products to treat, define, and care for real curls. What began as a personal quest has transformed into an expert line, developed after years of testing on different curl types, ensuring real results from the first application.

Our products are formulated to address common issues like dehydration, frizz, hair loss, and lack of definition, while always prioritizing hair health. Each formula is enriched with natural ingredients , cruelty-free , sulfate-free, and paraben- free, highly concentrated , high-yielding , and water-soluble . We also promote sustainability with our reusable container refill program.

ABOUT LAURA OM

Laura OM, known as the “Queen of Curls,” is a stylist, colorist, and entrepreneur in Puerto Rico with over 25 years of experience caring for curly hair. She is the founder of OM Studio , the first curl-specializing salon in Puerto Rico, and a pioneer of the curly hair acceptance movement on the island, transforming what was once considered “bad hair” into a synonym for natural beauty, empowerment, and self-love .

In 2018, driven by the lack of suitable products for curly hair, she launched Maranta Power , a professional line with important features that categorize it as healthy, clean, and cruelty-free. Under her leadership, Maranta has grown both in Puerto Rico and abroad as an exclusive line that caters to all natural textures.

Her story is a testament to resilience and passion : she overcame obstacles such as dyslexia, and her vision was driven by family values ​​of hard work, discipline, and commitment to what she wants to achieve, and that this achievement has a true humanitarian commitment.

Maranta Power is more than a brand, it's the legacy of a woman who changed the perception of curly hair, promoting a more inclusive, sustainable, and authentic beauty for the global curly hair community.

At OM Studio, we're implementing our Maranta Power product refill program, designed to reduce waste and encourage more sustainable habits among our curly community.

When you bring your clean container to the salon, you can reuse it and refill it with your favorite product, helping to reduce the use of single-use plastic. This practice not only protects the planet but also strengthens our vision of conscious, circular self-care.
